Dear Secondary Families,

As we approach the mid-semester break, I would like to take a moment to wish all of our students and families a restful and enjoyable time. We look forward to welcoming students back to campus on Tuesday, April 7. Please note that Monday, April 6 will be a Professional Learning Day for teachers, focused on strengthening our practice in meeting the needs of all learners, deepening our approach to anti-bullying, and reflecting on the professional growth that has taken place through our Communities of Practice this year.

Schedule Adjustments & Important Dates

We would also like to acknowledge the disruption to our regular routine caused by this week’s transportation strike. We appreciate the flexibility and understanding shown by our entire community.

As a result, please note the following updates:

  • Cougar Cup will take place April 7, 8, 9 - please watch for updates from Elba Beyer

  • End-of-quarter classes will now take place on Thursday, April 9

  • Quarter 3 report cards will be released on Monday, April 13

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

A reminder that Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences will take place on Friday, April 10.

  • There will be no regular classes that day

  • Students are expected to attend conferences with a parent/guardian

  • Conferences will include both scheduled appointments and open drop-in time

  • All conferences will take place in the library

Please note that Elementary Student-Led Conferences will also occur on the same day. We will be mindful and supportive of families with children in both divisions to help ensure a smooth experience.

Student Leadership & Community Engagement

We are very proud of the meaningful service our students provide through our Community Service Program Projects. Students created posters highlighting their support for The Fuller Center for Housing, demonstrating both creativity and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in our community. We invite you to take a moment to review these posters attached and celebrate their efforts.

ACS CALMUN Conference

We are excited to share that our students will be hosting the second ACS CALMUN Model United Nations from April 9–11. This year’s conference is expected to be nearly twice the size of last year’s event—a testament to the dedication and leadership of our student organizers.

Our entire community should feel proud of the initiative, collaboration, and global-mindedness our students continue to demonstrate through this outstanding event.

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We wish you a wonderful break and look forward to seeing everyone back on campus soon.

Estimadas familias de Secundaria,

Al acercarnos al receso de mitad de semestre, quisiera desearles a todos nuestros estudiantes y familias un descanso reparador y agradable. Esperamos con entusiasmo el regreso de los estudiantes al campus el martes 7 de abril. Les recordamos que el lunes 6 de abril será un Día de Aprendizaje Profesional para los docentes, enfocado en fortalecer nuestras prácticas para atender las necesidades de todos los estudiantes, profundizar en nuestro enfoque de prevención del acoso escolar (anti-bullying) y reflexionar sobre el crecimiento profesional que se ha desarrollado a través de nuestras Comunidades de Práctica durante este año.

Ajustes en el calendario y fechas importantes

También queremos reconocer la interrupción de nuestra rutina habitual debido al paro de transporte de esta semana. Agradecemos sinceramente la comprensión y flexibilidad de toda nuestra comunidad.

Como resultado, les compartimos las siguientes actualizaciones:

  • Cougar Cup pasará 7, 8, 9 de abril - favor de esperar noticias de Elba Beyer

  • Las clases de cierre de trimestre se llevarán a cabo el jueves 9 de abril

  • Los boletines del tercer trimestre se publicarán el lunes 13 de abril

Conferencias de Padres, Estudiantes y Profesores

Les recordamos que las Conferencias de Padres, Estudiantes y Profesores se realizarán el viernes 10 de abril.

  • No habrá clases regulares ese día

  • Es obligatorio que los estudiantes asistan junto a su padre/madre o apoderado

  • Habrá citas programadas y también espacios de atención libre (drop-in)

  • Todas las conferencias se llevarán a cabo en la biblioteca

Cabe señalar que las Conferencias Dirigidas por Estudiantes de Elementary también se realizarán el mismo día. Seremos considerados y flexibles con las familias que tienen hijos en ambas secciones para facilitar su participación.

Liderazgo estudiantil y compromiso con la comunidad

Nos sentimos muy orgullosos del servicio significativo que nuestros estudiantes brindan a través de nuestro Programa de Servicio Comunitario. Los estudiantes crearon afiches destacando su apoyo a The Fuller Center for Housing, demostrando tanto creatividad como un fuerte compromiso con generar un impacto positivo en nuestra comunidad. Los invitamos a tomarse un momento para revisar estos trabajos y celebrar sus esfuerzos.

Conferencia ACS CALMUN

Nos complace compartir que nuestros estudiantes serán los anfitriones de la segunda conferencia ACS CALMUN Model United Nations, que se llevará a cabo del 9 al 11 de abril. Se espera que este año el evento sea casi el doble de grande que el del año pasado, lo cual refleja el compromiso y liderazgo de nuestros estudiantes organizadores.

Toda nuestra comunidad puede sentirse muy orgullosa de la iniciativa, colaboración y mentalidad global que nuestros estudiantes continúan demostrando a través de este destacado evento.

Gracias, como siempre, por su continuo apoyo y colaboración. Les deseamos un excelente descanso y esperamos verlos nuevamente muy pronto en el campus.

From creative academic showcases and experiences to meaningful moments of celebration, our campus has been alive with purpose, pride, and joy. Impactful teaching and learning continues to take place throughout our campus.
