  29 January 2024   Dear ACS  ​ E ​lementary and Secondary Teachers , As you are aware, ACS is in the midst of a  ​s trategic  ​p lanning process.  February will be a busy month regarding strategic planning ​. There  are  ​process  going on simultaneously that have opportunities for participation.  The first process concerns randomly selected Focus Groups that will be developing new themes for our mission, vision, and values.  The second involves providing input on the current state of ACS.   Focus Groups: The Steering Committee for Strategic Planning composed of students, parents, teachers, and administrators will be conducting Focus Groups on 15 February.  The participants in the Focus Groups will be selected randomly from all stakeholder groups.  The purpose of these groups is to elicit themes for new statements of mission, vision, and core values.  After the initial themes emerge, the entire community wi...

 ACS has applied to NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) for the opportunity to transition from being accredited by Cognia to being accredited by NEASC. As a part of the process we will have two on-site visitors from Monday, May 6th, to Wednesday, May 8th. During this visit, the NEASC visitors will meet with various members of our community and visit various classes. They will provide feedback on the NEASC Foundation Standards: You may be asked to partake in an internal self-rating exercise prior to the visit, participate in a meeting with the visitors, and/or be observed by the visitors. This process is working in tandem with our Strategic Planning. More information to follow! ~Ann
