Dear Secondary Families,

Thank you for joining us at Back to School Night this past Wednesday. It was a pleasure to see so many parents engaging with teachers and learning more about the year ahead. Your partnership is vital to our students’ success, and we greatly appreciate your presence and support.

Semester 2 Awards Assembly

We are pleased to announce that the Awards Assembly recognizing student achievements from Semester 2 of the 2024–2025 school year will take place on Thursday, August 28th, at 11:15 a.m. in the Theater. We look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments together as a community.

High School Community Service Program

High school students filled out a form indicating their top three choices of Community Service Project for the year. As a reminder, all students are required to complete 20 hours of community service. We deeply appreciate your encouragement and support in helping students meet this important responsibility. Students will soon be informed as to which CSP they have been assigned.

Punctuality Matters

We want to thank all families for making every effort to have students arrive at school on time each morning. Please remember that students who are late are not admitted to their first-period class. Your continued support in reinforcing the importance of punctuality is essential.

No Cell Phone Policy

We are pleased to report that our no cell phone during school hours policy is working extremely well. Students are more focused, engaged, and present in their learning. We are grateful for your strong partnership in ensuring this policy’s success.

Classroom Without Walls (CWW) – September 22–26

Both local and travel options for Classroom Without Walls will take place during the week of September 22–26. Please note the following mandatory parent and student meetings:

  • Middle School: Tuesday, September 9, at 6:00 p.m.

  • High School: Wednesday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m.

Meetings will be offered both in person and virtually, and all parents and students are required to participate. During these sessions, families will review and sign behavior expectations to ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Thank you once again for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. Together, we are making this an excellent start to the school year!

Estimadas familias de Secundaria:

Muchas gracias por acompañarnos en la Noche de Regreso a Clases el pasado miércoles. Fue un verdadero gusto ver a tantos padres conectándose con los maestros y conociendo más sobre el año escolar que tenemos por delante. Su apoyo y participación son fundamentales para el éxito de nuestros estudiantes.

Asamblea de Premiación – Semestre 2

Nos complace anunciar que la Asamblea de Premiación para reconocer los logros estudiantiles del Segundo Semestre del año escolar 2024–2025 se llevará a cabo el jueves 28 de agosto a las 11:15 a.m. en el Teatro. Será una gran oportunidad para celebrar juntos los logros de nuestros estudiantes.

Programa de Servicio Comunitario – High School

Los estudiantes de preparatoria completaron un formulario indicando sus tres proyectos de servicio comunitario más populares para el año. Les recordamos que todos los estudiantes deben completar 20 horas de servicio comunitario. Agradecemos profundamente su apoyo y motivación para ayudar a los estudiantes a cumplir con esta importante responsabilidad. Pronto se les informará a qué proyecto de servicio comunitario se les ha asignado.

La Puntualidad Importa

Queremos agradecer a todas las familias por hacer el esfuerzo de que los estudiantes lleguen puntualmente cada mañana. Recordamos que los estudiantes que llegan tarde no son admitidos a su primera clase del día. Su apoyo constante para reforzar la importancia de la puntualidad es esencial.

Política de No Uso de Celulares

Nos complace compartir que nuestra política de no uso de celulares durante el horario escolar está funcionando de manera excelente. Los estudiantes están más concentrados, comprometidos y presentes en su aprendizaje. Les agradecemos mucho por acompañarnos y apoyar esta política.

Classroom Without Walls (CWW) – 22 al 26 de septiembre

Tanto las opciones locales como las de viaje para Classroom Without Walls se llevarán a cabo durante la semana del 22 al 26 de septiembre. Por favor tomen en cuenta las siguientes reuniones obligatorias para padres y estudiantes:

  • Middle School: martes 9 de septiembre a las 6:00 p.m.

  • High School: miércoles 10 de septiembre a las 6:00 p.m.

Las reuniones se ofrecerán tanto de manera presencial como virtual, y todos los padres y estudiantes deberán participar. Durante estas sesiones, se revisarán y firmarán las normas de comportamiento, garantizando así una experiencia segura, productiva y enriquecedora para todos los participantes.

Gracias nuevamente por su constante apoyo y compromiso con nuestra comunidad escolar. ¡Juntos estamos logrando un excelente inicio de año escolar!

From creative academic showcases and experiences to meaningful moments of celebration, our campus has been alive with purpose, pride, and joy. Impactful teaching and learning continues to take place throughout our campus. A couple of examples this week include high school Social Science students engaging in interview simulations with outside guests - a meaningful real-world experience that will surely yield long term impact. On Wednesday afternoon, our Middle School Math Fair took center stage for the first time—and what an outstanding debut it was!
