Secondary Principal’s End-of-Year Message
June 2025

Dear Secondary Families,

As we wrap up the 2024–2025 school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your support, partnership, and resilience throughout my first year as Secondary Principal. It has been a year of challenges and growth. We've accomplished much together as a community and I'm looking forward to continuing to foster improvements in our secondary program during the upcoming school year. 

One of the most joyful moments of the year was celebrating our graduates at the Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, June 6th. It was a beautiful and memorable event that captured the spirit, strength, and accomplishments of our students. Thank you to all who helped make it such a meaningful day. We wish Eudaimonia all the best in the next stages of their journey!

Looking ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, which begins on Thursday, August 7th, I want to share a few important updates:

• Cell Phone Policy: Beginning in August, students will not have access to their cell phones during school hours. This change is grounded in our commitment to creating a focused, connected, and respectful learning environment. We know this shift will take some adjustment, and your support at home will be essential in helping students embrace this change positively and consistently.

• New Approaches to Teaching and Approaches to Learning: When we return in August, we’ll be unveiling our newly developed Approaches to Teaching and Approaches to Learning. These guiding practices were collaboratively designed by faculty and staff across departments and grade levels. We’re excited to launch them as a foundation for even more purposeful and engaging learning experiences next year.

• Family Partnership & Communication: Your partnership is vital to the success of our school and students. To support ongoing dialogue, I will be hosting quarterly “What’s On Your Mind?” parent coffees beginning Friday, October 3rd. These informal gatherings will be a space for open conversation, shared ideas, and continued collaboration as we shape the best possible experience for our learners.

As we head into the break, I want to thank you once again for trusting us with your children, supporting our school, and being such an important part of our community.

Queridas familias de Secundaria:

Al concluir el año escolar 2024–2025, quiero expresar mi más sincero agradecimiento a cada uno de ustedes por su apoyo, colaboración y resiliencia durante mi primer año como Director de Secundaria. Ha sido un año lleno de desafíos y crecimiento. Hemos logrado mucho juntos como comunidad, y espero con entusiasmo continuar fortaleciendo nuestro programa de secundaria en el próximo año escolar.

Uno de los momentos más especiales del año fue la celebración de nuestros graduados durante la Ceremonia de Graduación de la Clase de 2025, el viernes 6 de junio. Fue un evento hermoso y memorable que reflejó el espíritu, la fortaleza y los logros de nuestros estudiantes. Gracias a todos los que contribuyeron a que fuera un día tan significativo. ¡Le deseamos lo mejor a Eudaimonia en las próximas etapas de su camino!

De cara al año escolar 2025–2026, que comenzará el jueves 7 de agosto, quiero compartir algunas actualizaciones importantes:

Política sobre teléfonos celulares: A partir de agosto, los estudiantes no tendrán acceso a sus teléfonos celulares durante el horario escolar. Este cambio responde a nuestro compromiso de crear un ambiente de aprendizaje enfocado, conectado y respetuoso. Sabemos que esta transición requerirá ajustes, y su apoyo en casa será esencial para que los estudiantes adopten este cambio de manera positiva y constante.

Nuevos Enfoques de Enseñanza y Aprendizaje: Al regresar en agosto, presentaremos nuestros nuevos Enfoques de Enseñanza y Enfoques de Aprendizaje. Estas prácticas orientadoras fueron diseñadas de manera colaborativa por docentes y personal de todos los departamentos y niveles. Nos emociona implementarlas como base para experiencias de aprendizaje aún más significativas y atractivas el próximo año.

Colaboración y Comunicación Familiar: Su colaboración es fundamental para el éxito de nuestra escuela y de nuestros estudiantes. Para fomentar un diálogo continuo, a partir del viernes 3 de octubre organizaré encuentros informales trimestrales llamados “¿Qué tienes en mente?”. Estos espacios ofrecerán la oportunidad de conversar abiertamente, compartir ideas y continuar colaborando para construir la mejor experiencia educativa posible para nuestros estudiantes.

Al acercarnos a las vacaciones, quiero agradecerles una vez más por confiar en nosotros, por apoyar a nuestra escuela y por ser una parte tan importante de esta comunidad.

Les deseo un descanso seguro, reparador y lleno de alegría. ¡Nos vemos en agosto!
