Secondary Principal Weekly Update

 Dear Secondary Families,

Thank you to all who attended the General Assembly. It was a pleasure to share academic updates from across the school and to present our proposed mission, vision, and core values. We appreciate your ongoing engagement and commitment to shaping the future of our learning community together.

As we enter the final month of school, we would like to thank all of our families for continuing to support students in staying focused, responsible, and balanced. These final weeks are important academically and socially, and your partnership truly makes a difference.

From May 5th to May 9th we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! This is a time for us to ensure that we thank our teachers and let them know how grateful we are for their care and commitment to our students.  

A few important updates and reminders:

  • AP Exams will take place from May 5 to May 16. Please encourage your child to get plenty of rest, eat well, and stay organized as they prepare and sit for their exams. We’re proud of our teachers and students for all the hard work they’ve put in.

  • Earth Day Celebrations were held across the school in the afternoon on Friday with a variety of special exhibits. It was a powerful day of learning and action for our environment.

  • We are excited to invite you to the Secondary Art Show and the musical Epic on Friday, May 2 at 7:00 PM in the theater. Come enjoy an inspiring evening showcasing student creativity, talent, and collaboration!

  • Planning for Classroom Without Walls (CWW) experiences is already well underway for September 2025. We’re looking forward to offering meaningful and enriching opportunities for all our students to grow, connect, and explore learning beyond the classroom.

Estimadas familias de Secundaria:

Gracias a todos los que asistieron a la Asamblea General. Fue un placer compartir actualizaciones académicas de toda la escuela y presentar nuestra propuesta de misión, visión y valores fundamentales. Agradecemos profundamente su compromiso y participación para construir juntos el futuro de nuestra comunidad educativa.

Al entrar en el último mes del año escolar, queremos agradecerles por seguir apoyando a sus hijos/as en mantenerse enfocados, responsables y equilibrados. Estas últimas semanas son clave tanto a nivel académico como social, y su colaboración hace una gran diferencia.

Del 5 al 9 de mayo celebramos la Semana de Agradecimiento a Profesores. Es un momento para agradecerles y hacerles saber lo agradecidos que estamos por su dedicación y compromiso con nuestros estudiantes.  

Algunas actualizaciones y recordatorios importantes:

  • Los exámenes AP se llevarán a cabo del 5 al 16 de mayo. Les pedimos que animen a sus hijos/as a descansar bien, alimentarse de forma saludable y mantenerse organizados mientras se preparan y rinden estos exámenes. Estamos orgullosos del esfuerzo que han demostrado nuestros maestros y alumnos.

  • Celebramos el Día de la Tierra en toda la escuela el viernes por la tarde con una serie de eventos especiales. Fue una jornada poderosa de aprendizaje y acción por el medio ambiente.

  • ¡Están todos cordialmente invitados a asistir a la exposición de arte de Secundaria y al musical Epic el viernes 2 de mayo a las 7:00 PM en el teatro! Será una velada inspiradora que destacará el talento, la creatividad y el trabajo colaborativo de nuestros estudiantes.

  • La planificación de las experiencias de Classroom Without Walls (CWW) ya está en marcha para septiembre de 2025. Esperamos ofrecer oportunidades significativas y enriquecedoras para que nuestros estudiantes crezcan, se conecten y aprendan más allá del aula.

From creative academic showcases and experiences to meaningful moments of celebration, our campus has been alive with purpose, pride, and joy. Impactful teaching and learning continues to take place throughout our campus. A couple of examples this week include high school Social Science students engaging in interview simulations with outside guests - a meaningful real-world experience that will surely yield long term impact. Semester 2 Awards Assembly We are pleased to announce that the Awards Assembly recognizing student achievements from Semester 2 of the 2024–2025 school year will take place on Thursday, August 28th, at 11:15 a.m. in the Theater .
