Dear Secondary Families,

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we shifted to virtual instruction on Thursday and Friday due to the transportation blockade. We know these last-minute changes can be disruptive, and we truly appreciate your support in helping our students continue their learning from home.

As a result of the unexpected shift, the Cougar Cup has been postponed. We know how much our students, coaches, and families look forward to this event, and we’re working on identifying a new date. Please watch for updates from our Athletics and Activities Director, Elba Beyer, who will share revised details soon.

We’re also excited to invite our community to a special event: the presentation of the children's book La Senda by Pati García, with illustrations by Carolina Paz. The story shares a beautiful message about second chances for rescued wildlife and is inspired by the work of Senda Verde.

This event promises to be a meaningful celebration of storytelling, art, and conservation, and we encourage all families to attend and support local authors and illustrators.

A quick reminder: we have a short week ahead! School will be in session Monday through Wednesday only. We will be closed on Thursday and Friday, April 17 and 18, in observance of Easter break.

Queridas familias de Secundaria:

Gracias por su comprensión y flexibilidad al haber tenido que pasar a clases virtuales el jueves y viernes debido al bloqueo de transporte. Sabemos que estos cambios de último minuto pueden ser complicados, y realmente valoramos su apoyo para que nuestros estudiantes continúen aprendiendo desde casa.

Como resultado de este cambio inesperado, la Cougar Cup ha sido pospuesta. Sabemos cuánto esperan este evento nuestros estudiantes, entrenadores y familias, y ya estamos trabajando en una nueva fecha. Por favor estén atentos a las comunicaciones de nuestra Directora de Atletismo y Actividades, Elba Beyer, quien compartirá los detalles actualizados próximamente.

También estamos muy emocionados de invitar a toda nuestra comunidad a un evento especial: la presentación del libro infantil La Senda de Pati García, con ilustraciones de Carolina Paz. Este cuento comparte un hermoso mensaje sobre las segundas oportunidades para los animales silvestres rescatados, y está inspirado en el trabajo de Senda Verde.

From creative academic showcases and experiences to meaningful moments of celebration, our campus has been alive with purpose, pride, and joy. Impactful teaching and learning continues to take place throughout our campus. A couple of examples this week include high school Social Science students engaging in interview simulations with outside guests - a meaningful real-world experience that will surely yield long term impact. It was a pleasure to see so many parents engaging with teachers and learning more about the year ahead. Semester 2 Awards Assembly We are pleased to announce that the Awards Assembly recognizing student achievements from Semester 2 of the 2024–2025 school year will take place on Thursday, August 28th, at 11:15 a.m. in the Theater . We look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments together as a community.
