Dear Secondary School Families,

We have had an eventful and productive week, filled with important discussions, dedicated preparation, and exciting upcoming events. Here are the key updates from this week:

Pathways for Prevention Meetings

On Tuesday and Thursday nights, we held valuable meetings with Pathways for Prevention, focusing on fostering a safe and supportive environment for all our students. These discussions provided essential insights into proactive strategies for student well-being, and we appreciate all who attended and contributed to these important conversations.

Carnaval Preparation in Full Swing!

Our students and faculty have been working tirelessly to prepare for the much-anticipated Carnaval presentation on Friday, February 21st. Countless hours of planning, rehearsing, and creativity have gone into making this celebration a spectacular event. We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication and can’t wait to see their performances!

Adjusted Schedule for February 21st

To accommodate the festivities, please note the following schedule for students on Friday, February 21st:

  • Campus will be open during regular school hours (7:45 AM - 3:20 PM).

  • Students do not need to arrive until 10:30 AM.

  • Students may leave campus after the Carnaval celebration ends.

  • All students must check in with their Advisor before departing campus.

Support With Cell Phone Expectations

Please support us by enforcing our cell phone expectations:

No cell phones are allowed in Middle School. If a students brings a cell phone to school, it should be left in the office during the school day. If a cell phone is confiscated, a parent must retrieve it from the office. 

Cell phones are only to used for educational purposes, as directed by teachers, in the high school. Phones should be kept in backpacks and on silent. If a cell phone is confiscated for a second time a parent must retrieve it from the office. 

Please do not message or call your child(ren) during school hours. Messages can be sent via the office personnel. Your cooperation with these expectations is greatly appreciated. 

Progress Reports Sent

On Wednesday, February 12th, progress reports were sent via email. Please take a moment to review your child’s academic progress. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to the respective teachers or advisors for further discussion.

We look forward to celebrating together on Friday and appreciate your ongoing support in making these events successful and meaningful for our students.

Hemos tenido una semana llena de eventos y productividad, con importantes discusiones, preparaci贸n dedicada y emocionantes eventos pr贸ximos. Aqu铆 est谩n las actualizaciones clave de esta semana:

Reuniones de Pathways for Prevention

El martes y jueves por la noche, realizamos valiosas reuniones con Pathways for Prevention, enfoc谩ndonos en fomentar un entorno seguro y de apoyo para todos nuestros estudiantes. Estas discusiones proporcionaron informaci贸n esencial sobre estrategias proactivas para el bienestar estudiantil, y agradecemos a todos los que asistieron y contribuyeron a estas importantes conversaciones.

¡Preparaci贸n del Carnaval en Pleno Apogeo!

Nuestros estudiantes y docentes han estado trabajando incansablemente para preparar la tan esperada presentaci贸n de Carnaval el viernes 21 de febrero. Incontables horas de planificaci贸n, ensayos y creatividad han hecho de esta celebraci贸n un evento espectacular. Estamos incre铆blemente orgullosos de la dedicaci贸n de nuestros estudiantes y estamos ansiosos por ver sus presentaciones.

Horario Ajustado para el 21 de febrero

Para acomodar las festividades, tenga en cuenta el siguiente horario para los estudiantes el viernes 21 de febrero:

  • El campus estar谩 abierto durante el horario escolar regular (7:45 AM - 3:20 PM).

  • Los estudiantes no necesitan llegar hasta las 10:30 AM.

  • Los estudiantes pueden salir del campus despu茅s de que termine la celebraci贸n de Carnaval.

  • Todos los estudiantes deben registrarse con su asesor antes de salir del campus.

Apoyo Con las Expectativas de Celulares

Por favor, ap贸yanos haciendo cumplir nuestras expectativas sobre el uso de tel茅fonos celulares:

No se permiten tel茅fonos celulares en la escuela secundaria. Si un estudiante trae un tel茅fono celular a la escuela, debe dejarlo en la oficina durante el d铆a escolar. Si se confisca un tel茅fono celular, un padre debe recuperarlo de la oficina.

Los tel茅fonos celulares solo se pueden usar con fines educativos, seg煤n lo indiquen los maestros, en la escuela secundaria. Los tel茅fonos deben guardarse en las mochilas y en silencio. Si se confisca un tel茅fono celular por segunda vez, un padre debe recuperarlo de la oficina.

No env铆e mensajes ni llame a su(s) hijo(s) durante el horario escolar. Los mensajes se pueden enviar a trav茅s del personal de la oficina. Su cooperaci贸n con estas expectativas es muy apreciada.Env铆o de 

Reportes de Progreso

El mi茅rcoles 12 de febrero, los reportes de progreso fueron enviados por correo electr贸nico. T贸mese un momento para revisar el progreso acad茅mico de su hijo/a. Si tiene alguna pregunta o inquietud, lo invitamos a comunicarse con los respectivos docentes o asesores para mayor informaci贸n.

Esperamos celebrar juntos el viernes y agradecemos su continuo apoyo para hacer de estos eventos experiencias exitosas y significativas para nuestros estudiantes.

From creative academic showcases and experiences to meaningful moments of celebration, our campus has been alive with purpose, pride, and joy. Impactful teaching and learning continues to take place throughout our campus.
