Secondary Principal Weekly Update


Dear Secondary School ~ 

Please find below the highlights from last week and our week ahead:

STUCO hosted a fabulous Halloween Fair on November 1st. It was a huge success and was clearly enjoyed by our school community and beyond! The creativity was highly impressive and the organization hugely appreciated. Congrats!

Our boys high school soccer team scored a goal in the second half of the semi-final of the Nissan Cup on Friday to beat San Ignacio 1-0. This means the team moves onto the final against St. Andrews School. More details to follow - it would be great to have many fans at the game. Congrats to the team!!

Our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students are in Madidi this week for their Classroom Without Walls experiential learning excursions. We look forward to hearing about their adventures when they return.

Friday, November 8th, from 8:00-4:30 are Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences. It is really important that students participate in these conferences. Please be sure to register and note that you have the option to attend in person or online. There are no regular classes on Friday, November 8th. Teachers on CWW will make alternative arrangements to meet with parents and students the following Wednesday, November 13th.

A continuación, encontrará los aspectos más destacados de la semana pasada y de la semana que viene:

STUCO organizó una fabulosa Feria de Halloween el 1 de noviembre. ¡Fue un gran éxito y claramente la comunidad escolar y más allá la disfrutaron! La creatividad fue muy impresionante y la organización fue muy apreciada. ¡Felicitaciones!

Nuestro equipo de fútbol de la escuela secundaria anotó un gol en la segunda mitad de la semifinal de la Copa Nissan el viernes para vencer a San Ignacio 1-0. Esto significa que el equipo avanza a la final contra la escuela St. Andrews. Pronto les daremos más detalles: sería genial tener muchos fanáticos en el juego. ¡Felicitaciones al equipo!

Nuestros estudiantes de 11.º y 12.º grado están en Madidi esta semana para sus excursiones de aprendizaje experiencial Classroom Without Walls. Esperamos escuchar sobre sus aventuras cuando regresen.

El viernes 8 de noviembre, de 8:00 a 16:30, se realizarán las conferencias de padres, estudiantes y maestros. Es muy importante que los estudiantes participen en estas conferencias. Asegúrese de registrarse y tenga en cuenta que tiene la opción de asistir en persona o en línea. No habrá clases regulares el viernes 8 de noviembre. Los maestros de CWW harán arreglos alternativos para reunirse con los padres y los estudiantes el miércoles siguiente, 13 de noviembre.

From creative academic showcases and experiences to meaningful moments of celebration, our campus has been alive with purpose, pride, and joy. Impactful teaching and learning continues to take place throughout our campus. A couple of examples this week include high school Social Science students engaging in interview simulations with outside guests - a meaningful real-world experience that will surely yield long term impact. Semester 2 Awards Assembly We are pleased to announce that the Awards Assembly recognizing student achievements from Semester 2 of the 2024–2025 school year will take place on Thursday, August 28th, at 11:15 a.m. in the Theater .
